Our Next Audition Cycle Will Be

Auditions are being scheduled for girls 6-12 with no previous musical experience required.
Girls over 12 years old with prior music experience are invited to audition as well.

To schedule an audition, please print out and complete the following application form

and send it in with a $25 deposit. Upon receipt you will be called to
schedule your audition and to confirm the location.
If accepted into the choir the deposit will be used towards your first month’s tuition.

The Seattle Girls' Choir, led by Dr. Jerome Wright, is a national leader in choral and music training. As Founder and Artistic Director, Dr. Wright has guided our unique program from the very beginning, ensuring that our quality is uncompromising high and our staff are consistently world class.

There are six levels of instruction from beginning prep choir (ages 6-7) to advanced choirs (up to 18 or 19 yrs.). Instruction includes music theory, sight singing, ear training, vocal training, and performance skills.

REHEARSALS  

We operate a full six-level program at our Choir Center in the elegant
North Capitol Hill neighborhood near Volunteer Park.

"Dolcinettes" 

Our Introductory Preparatory Choir for girls ages 6 & 7 
meets Thursdays from 4:15 to 5:05 with Dolcine.

"Dolcine" 

Our Junior Preparatory Choir for girls ages 6 - 8 
meets on Thursdays from 4:15 to 5:55 at our Choir Center.

"Vivissimi" 

Our Advanced Preparatory Choir for girls ages 8 & 9
meets on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30

(There is a break for snacks midway through rehearsal, and 6:00 – 6:30 is for theory or sight singing classes)

"Allegra" 

is the next level. Girls ages 10 and older sing in Allegra,
meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30

(There is a break for snacks midway through rehearsal, and on Thursday 6:00 – 6:30 is for theory or sight singing classes)

"Cantamus" 

Our Intermediate Choir is comprised of mostly middle and high school aged girls. 
meets on Mondays and Wednesdays: 

Monday: Choral Rehearsal from 4:30 to 6:15
Dinner Break form 6:15 to 6:35

Rotating classes in Voice, Music Theory and Sight-Singing are from 6:35 to 7:05 and 7:05 to 7:35

Wednesday: Choral Rehearsal from 4:30 to 6:30

"Prime Voci"

Our Advanced Choir does the international tours and special performances. 
meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at the same times as Cantamus.
