Musical Me is a new pre-school music class for boys and girls ages 4-5 designed to develop and instill a love of music.
The class will cultivate musical ears and teach beginning music concepts through hands-on experience and lots of fun music and movement games. Children will work with their voices and bodies, as well as pitched and rhythm instruments.
Who will teach Musical Me?
The class will be team taught by two women who are accomplished musicians and early childhood educators.
Jen Nehr is a 1991 alumnae of the Seattle Girls’ Choir who, following ten years of professional operatic performance, pursued her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and became a pre-school teacher.
Kelly Kunz is a classical bass player, Montessori school director and teacher, a Seattle Girls’ Choir Board member and has a daughter in the Prime Voci choir level.
When and Where is class?
The class will meet on Mondays, from 4:45 – 5:30 at a church located in north Capitol Hill at 1300 E. Aloha. The Volunteer Park Seventh Day Adventist church is also used as the choir center for the Seattle Girls’ Choir.
Our Spring 2010 session runs April 5th through June 14th .
No class on May 31st

How do I sign up my son or daughter?
Print out this Musical Me registration form and mail it in with payment. You may also call the Seattle Girls’ Choir office to register over the phone with a credit card. The phone number is 206-526-1900 and the Office Manager, Stacia Cammarano, will help you.
Is this a parent-child class?
Musical Me is designed to engage the pre-schooler in a small, hands on, environment for children only. There is a room available for parents to wait in during the class time. The church also has an off street parking lot for your use.
